Tangney has acted as the lead title attorney for two of Washington, DC’s premiere settlement firms since graduating from the Columbus School of Law. In this role, Patrick has been involved in some of the regions highest profile real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, resulting in a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience.
As lead title attorney, Patrick has closed purchases in all three jurisdictions that make up the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area; the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. As one of only a few attorneys’ in the city that has dealt with closing cooperative units, homes sold via DC’s Lower Income Tax Abatement Program, DC Homestead Exemption and DC TOPA (tenant opportunity to purchase act), there’s no transaction that Patrick can’t handle.
Patrick is active member of the DC Land Title Association, District of Columbia Bar, DC Stakeholder’s, and GCAAR’s Rebuilding Together. As a resident of the District of Columbia for the past 12 years, he owns and invests in the local real estate market religiously and has on-the-ground experience in just about every neighborhood inside the Beltway.
Tiffani Whittaker
Tiffani has worked in real estate for over 14 years, both as a Realtor and a Title Attorney. Before diving into real estate, she practiced law in the areas of Municipal Finance and Affordable Housing and worked as a legal career counselor and law firm administrator. She is knowledgeable about all aspects of title law and real estate transactions in the DMV, with extensive knowledge of the area’s programs for first-time homebuyers, Tax Abatement, TOPA and estates and trusts. Tiffani takes particular pride in her relationships with her clients and the community. Responsiveness, honesty, creativity, and flexibility are crucial parts of the way she is able to offer seamless transactions.
As a community leader, Tiffani is a member of the board of advisors for the birdSEED Foundation, which provides downpayment assistance for first-time homebuyers of color in Washington, DC, is a member of the board of the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Tiffani is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University Law Center. She lives in the Spring Valley neighborhood of Washington, DC and has two children and an adorable labradoodle.
