As a Naval Academy graduate and former helicopter pilot, Patrick J. Tangney has acted as the lead title attorney for two of Washington, DC’s premiere settlement firms since graduating from the Columbus School of Law. In this role, Patrick has been involved in some of the regions highest profile real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, resulting in a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience.
As lead title attorney, Patrick has closed purchases in all three jurisdictions that make up the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area; the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. As one of only a few attorneys’ in the city that has dealt with closing cooperative units, homes sold via DC’s Lower Income Tax Abatement Program, DC Homestead Exemption and DC TOPA (tenant opportunity to purchase act), there’s no transaction that Patrick can’t handle.
Patrick is active member of the DC Land Title Association, District of Columbia Bar, DC Stakeholder’s, and GCAAR’s Rebuilding Together. As a resident of the District of Columbia for the past 12 years, he owns and invests in the local real estate market religiously and has on-the-ground experience in just about every neighborhood inside the Beltway.
